Women are more beautiful than girls
We got an email from a guy this week who condemned Body in Mind for not featuring younger girls on our site, "ages 10-17", he said. After all, if Body in Mind is about female beauty first and foremost, he went on, then we should have the integrity to feature the beauty of young girls as well, shouldn't we? I told him that the beauty of women is so awesome a force in the universe that when compared to it, the beauty of girls approaches almost complete insignificance. If girls are beautiful at all it's only because they resemble women in some way. For Body in Mind to feature girls would be like a car racing website featuring roller skates. Beauty is the representation of values. To men, beautiful women represent a myriad of adult human values: sex, purpose, confidence, maturity, intelligence, success, wealth, etc. However, to men who refuse to grow up and don't want to pursue values, young girls are beautiful because they represent a world where growing up and pursuing values is not yet necessary.
